Shop

A WordPress shop without WooCommerce: products, cart, invoices and payment

Ten products, or fifty, or two hundred do not need WooCommerce and five extensions that each want their own settings page. The shop in ambera is a module: switch it on, add products, connect a payment provider — and your client manages orders in the same area as their pages.

One module.
Not a platform.

A WordPress shop without WooCommerce: products, cart, invoices and payment

Products

  • Name, price, text, pictures, stock
  • Variants: size, colour, finish — each with a price and stock
  • CSV import and export for the whole range
  • Product page and product list as templates
  • Categories and sort order

Ordering and paying

  • Cart and checkout as blocks, in the look of the site
  • VAT, shipping, free shipping over an amount
  • Stripe, Payrexx with TWINT, PayPal — or an invoice
  • States: new, open, in progress, shipped, done, cancelled
  • Mails to the customer and to the shop, built with blocks

Bookkeeping

  • A numbered invoice per order
  • A credit note when something comes back
  • Company details and VAT number on every document
  • Orders as CSV for the accountant
  • Everything in your database, no service in between

Orders

Every order with its state, its document and its mail.

An order comes in, the customer gets a confirmation, the shop gets a notice. In the client area it appears with its lines, the address, the payment and the state; one click sets it to shipped and sends the mail that goes with it. The invoice hangs on the order, and if the goods come back, so does the credit note.

Shop mails are templates, in the same builder.

Mails

Shop mails are templates, in the same builder.

Order confirmation, shipping notice, invoice: each is a template with your logo, your colours and your words, built the way you build a page. Placeholders fill in the name, the lines and the totals. What went out is in the mail log, with the date and whether the server took it.

Payment

Stripe, Payrexx with TWINT, PayPal — or an invoice.

You enter your keys at the provider; the payment happens on their side and the money lands in your account. Payrexx with TWINT covers Switzerland, Stripe and PayPal the rest. And if you would rather sell against an invoice, leave the payment out: the order still arrives with its invoice, the money arrives by transfer.

Questions

Can this replace WooCommerce?

For a small or medium catalogue, yes — products with variants, cart, checkout, VAT, invoices, payment and order states are all here. For a warehouse with thousands of SKUs, live carrier rates and a marketplace, WooCommerce with its extensions is still the bigger machine.

Which payment providers are supported?

Stripe, PayPal, and Payrexx with TWINT for Switzerland. Or no provider at all: the order comes with a numbered invoice and the customer transfers the money.

Do customers need an account?

They choose. A guest checkout needs an address and nothing else; an account keeps the orders, the invoices and the address for next time — and it is the same account memberships use.

Where do the invoices come from?

From the shop itself, numbered in sequence, with your company details and VAT number. No invoicing plugin, no external service.

Is the shop in the free version?

No. The shop is a Pro module, and it is in every Pro plan.
